A CHIC number does not mean a dog received "normal" or passing test results on all of its exams. It simply proves that the breeder, Happy Hunter, completed all the required breed-specific health screenings and gave informed consent to release those results (whether positive or negative) into the public domain. This transparency allows buyers to make informed decisions and supports ongoing genetic research. It does not guaranty health issues with puppies, but if the guidelines are followed, which they are at Happy Hunter, it reduces the genetic chance of have a phenotype expression of a tested genetic disease.
The CKC Puppy List is a directory that allows you to search for CKC Member Breeders by breed and Canadian province. It serves as a helpful starting point for finding accountable breeders who register their dogs with the Canadian Kennel Club. Happy Hunter is recognized by the CKC (Canadian Kennel Club) and the VSO (Vizsla Society of Ontario).
